Download the 3M Ebook App to Check Out Library Ebooks

Rockingham County Public Library has switched ebook platforms. We will no longer be purchasing ebooks from Baker and Taylor. All new ebooks will be purchased via 3M and will be available for checkout through the 3M cloud library app.

To download the 3M library app visit the website below and click on the download link for your device.

3M library e-books can be read on PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, Android Devices, iOS devices, Kindle Fire tablets, and Nook HD and HD+ tablets.

You do not need to set up a username and password to log into your account with 3M. Once you download the app you will be asked to locate your library by choosing the country and state your library is located in and then selecting your library. Make sure to choose Rockingham County Public Library.

After you choose your library you will be asked for your library card number. Typing in your library card number signs you into your account. After signing in you will be able to check out and read ebooks. You will stay signed in until you sign out of your account.

The Eden Library’s 3D Printer is Now Available for Public Use!

Library users now have the abililty to make three-dimensional objects in plastic using a design that is uploaded from a digital computer file.

Any 3D drafting software may be used to create a design as long as the file can be saved in an .stl, .obj, or .thing, file format.

Patrons wishing to use the 3D printer must have a library card in good standing.

If you’d like to use the library’s 3D printer, bring your print file in a .stl, .obj, or .thing format with a completed “3D Printing Request Form”. Make sure to include all required signatures and bring the form to the Circulation desk during open hours. Staff will verify the form for accuracy and add the request to the printing queue.

Cost: 3D printing at the Library is $1.00/hour of printing with a minimum of $2.00.

Prints will be left as-is upon completion; finishing work (such removal of excess material) will be left to the patron.
