Upcoming Programs

Story Time for Preschool and early readers is at 10:30 on Tuesdays in Reidsville, Wednesdays in Mayodan, Thursdays in Eden and Fridays in Stoneville.

Computer classes are held every week at the Eden Library
and on an occasional basis at the Madison and Reidsville locations. Click on our Upcoming Computer Classes Link for dates and times or call your local libray.

Summer Reading Challenge 2018 at the Eden LibraryJune 1st until July 31st

  • Babies, children, and teens can sign up for our summer reading challenge starting June 1st.
  • Register at any library in Rockingham County to receive your reading log.
  • Between June 1st and July 31st, keep track of your time spent reading.
  • When you’ve completed the challenge, turn in your reading log and be entered into a drawing for a special Grand Prize.

Eden Public Library

Adult Needlecrafters SocialMondays at 1:00 p.m.

  • Socialize with other needle crafters. Bring something to work on with you to the social. Learn more about needlecraft and/ or teach what you know to others.

Adult Coloring SocialTuesdays at 2:00 p.m.

  • Relax, have fun and socialize with other coloring enthusiasts.
  • Materials will be provided by the library but feel free to bring your own coloring pages and/or pencils.

Baby Time at the Eden LibraryThursdays at 11:15 a.m.

  • Newborns and toddlers can join us in this 15 minute program.
  • Babies will gain contact with language through stories, rhymes, wiggles, and giggles.
  • Help your baby take their first steps toward literacy and a lifelong love of books.

  • Listen to stories, make crafts, play games, and make new friends.
  • Programs will last for approximately 45 minutes and are intended for those who have completed Kindergarten-5th grade.

Arduino ClubFridays at 4 p.m.

  • Join the Arduino Club and learn how to code and use Arduino.
  • What would you make?
  • This is a free program intended for teens grades 6 and up.
  • To register call 336-623-3168 or sign up at the circulation desk.

  • Bring your beach blanket and claim a spot inside the library to spend the day reaching your reading goals. There will be bubbles, sidewalk chalk, kites, shrinky dinks, lemonade, and more!
  • Our brand new bookmobile will be visiting the library from 10:30-3.

Eden Library Book ClubWednesday July 11th, at 2:00 p.m.

  • This month the book club will be discussing Everyone Brave is Forgiven by Chris Cleave.
  • Next month’s book is The Other Einstein by Marie Benedict.

Teen Library Council MeetingThursday July 12th, at 4 p.m.

  • The TLC is an organization made up of teen volunteers who help out with library programs and make suggestions for future young adult programs.
  • All teens in the 6th-12th grades are welcome to attend.

Teen Movie NightThursday July 12th, at 5 p.m.

  • The Library will be showing episodes from season 3 of Netfix’s TrollHunters Series.

Saturday Family Program with Ms. MarySaturday July 14th, at 10:30 a.m.

  • Enjoy a summer themed story and craft.
  • This program is free and open to patrons of all ages.

  • Prizes: Seasonally themed book gift baskets and $25 grand prize gift card.
  • This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Library and is intended for our adult patrons.
