Rockingham County Reads is a community-wide reading event that encourages citizens to read the same book and to discuss the issues raised by the book. The program is a partnership between the library, the Friends of the Library, the Reidsville Human Relations Commission, Rockingham Community College, and other interested individuals and organizations in Rockingham County.
One County, One Book; Rockingham County Reads is pleased to announce the selection of Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief as the 2016 Fall Season choice for the county wide read.
During the 2016 Fall Season, One County, One Book will feature events and activities focusing on the novel. Everyone is invited to take part in this county wide read by attending events, participating in themed activities and of course, by reading The Book Thief.
Copies of the book are available at each of the county libraries.
